Adt - Warlock
Have you read and understood the Guild Rules?
Yep, Read them and have no problem with them.
How old are you?
I am 20 years old.
What is your character name, class, and level?
My main character’s name is Adt, it is a level 85 Goblin Female Affliction warlock, with demonology offspec(not really a fan of destruction, but can play it if necessary).
Post your armory-link here.
What are your current builds and why did you choose them?
Affliction(31/7/3) - It is your typical Affliction-Drain spec, I have always been in love with the idea of wearing down enemies with damage over time, and have been playing affliction since vanilla back when SM/Ruin was around.
(Demonology 0/31/10) - Once again, this is your cookie cutter demonology spec, I don’t really use this unless a specific fight calls for it, or i’m requested to spec it, for example to bring demonic pact.
Tell us what you know about the class and specc you play. Try to impress us with your knowledge!
Well, I’ve played Warlock since vanilla(patch 1.6), having being through the thick and thin of the class changes. Raided extensively as every talent specialisation and also pvp’d actively as affliction in btoh arena’s and battlegrounds alike.
As for my rotation, I don’t have one as such, I just ensure that all my dot’s stay on the target, whilst spamming my filler and avoiding bad stuff on the floor(I have situational awareness, aka I know how to move the fuck out of the giant fire pool melting me).
Stats for me, It generally goes Hit to the cap(17%) > Intellect > Haste > Crit > Mastery. Spirit is to be avoided like the plague obviously as it brings nothing to the table for warlocks.
As for general WoW knowledge, I havn’t actually raided with my warlock this expansion so far, however in a previous guild I did manage to heal 9/12 of the bosses on my Discipline Priest. And Tanked some 5mans(oh so hardcore!) on my Death Knight So I can appreciate what the other players/roles have to go through whilst I’m pumping the damage out.
When would you be available to raid with us? (Our raid schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 20.00-00.00 server time.)
Those raiding times are absolutely fine with me, I have no problem with them as I am currently unemployed, and when I get back into work(scheduled for start of June) I will be able to schedule my rota around my life.
Do you experience slowdowns, lag or disconnects in 25-man raids?
I am prone to the odd disconnect, due to being on one of the shittest ISP known to man - ISP Ratings, unfortunately there is nothing I can do though except accept it as they are the only ISP in my city. It is certainly nothing that will effect my game play drastically though, it happens roughly once or twice a week, and not usually during peak times. Even when it does, I’ve got used to typing in my password/authenticator code so fast you wouldn’t even notice me offline.
Tell us about your previous raiding experience
I got bored of typing, so I made you a pretty picture instead xoxo
nb: during wrath I played as a rogue as well as my lock, because our raid required it, hence the ‘Adtr’ next to that section. Unfortunately I deleted it because… well I’m a bit anal and hate having characters on my character screen that I don’t actively play.
What is your opinion on doing hard modes?
I’m not personally a huge fan of them, but I have no problem doing/researching them. Progress is progress.
Do you have any previous MMORPG experience?
Um, WoW for 6 years(Old picture, pretty sure my lock is 300+ Now :<).
I play a bit of Rift as well, when there’s nothing to do on WoW, and previous to that I used to play Runescape Classic back in like 2000 or something when I was a kid.
What are your previous guild(s) and why did you leave it?
Team Rocket - Just a guild for me and a few real life friends, nothing serious. Previous to that I was in an alliance guild ‘Ninja Monkeys’ Been with them since the start of TBC, but they decided it was time to call it a day, as people weren’t enjoying the game, hence why I faction transferred to horde with friends.
What do you expect to find in our guild?
Hopefully a nice friendly raiding environment where people enjoy playing the game, don’t get loot-whoreish and can actually play their classes.
Rather than “oh for fucks sake, it’s raid night again… ah well, guess we should get this over with”.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Nothing other than thanks for reading this, I enjoy writing applications because I’m a sad prick like that, and well, I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you in the future
Edit: I just noticed in the recruitment post that it states you’re looking for Blood DK, However on the front page it states that the Blood DK spot is closed, what’s the stance on that currently? because honestly I actually enjoy tanking on my Blood DK, more than I do DPSing on my warlock, would I be able to reapply as a DK, or has that spot been filled?
Thanks - Adt

thank you for your application, pretty pictures are always a good idea. We will discuss your application and get back to you within the next 2 days.
As for the DK question, we could need a DK tank - or a DK in general… haven’t seen one in raids for aeons. However, tank numbers scale badly from 2 x 10 to 1 x 25, so you should be up for DPSing every now and then (like our tanks do now already). Currently we run with 3 main tanks and have DPS with tank offspec helping out when we are short on tanks.
Allright, thanks for the fast response.
I don’t mind off-dpsing(i have a frost offspec) however I don’t have any ‘proper’ dps gear(unless you count full vicious).
So I guess i’ll start collecting some proper pieces for it whilst you discuss
